Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) is the leading Accounting training institution which is moving into a business school. CAS is looking for an energetic, committed and passionate Registrar to lead the Administration Department.

Purpose of the Job;

Registrar has an overall responsibility for administrative support functions of CAS. Directs and coordinates student’s enrolment process and serves as the custodian of the student’s records. The Secretary of the Council, Senate, Convocation and other Council sub-committees, providing the services to these bodies necessary for them to fulfil their policy making and governance roles.  The Registrar’s role as statutory secretary is to advise CAS governing structures.  In addition to facilities management, the incumbent is also accountable and responsible for all legal matters by providing legal advice to the Rector to institute and represent CAS on legal matters, in order to ensure that CAS interests are always protected.

Qualifications, experience and desirable attributes

Ideal candidate must possess a good and relevant Master’s Degree in preferably in Public Administration/Educational Management/Corporate Governance and Ethics or equivalent Professional Qualification with a strong Legal and Governance background.  At least 10 years relevant experience.

 

The Candidate Should Be,

  • Highly conversant with intricacies and peculiarities of the Lesotho education system
  • Up to date Information and Communication Technology Skills
  • A person with an articulate vision for the development of the College in general and Registry in particular, combined with a strong passion to implement the vision
  • A person with strong character, sound leadership skills and ability to instil confidence and engender trust in his/her members of staff.
